We’re so proud of each of our students who successfully completed our Marine & Offshore Refrigeration Course held in April 2026, gaining their City & Guilds Level 2 Awards in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category I.
Each student passed first time with exceptional results, most in the 90% range! Their hard work and dedication shown throughout the week paid off & it was a real pleasure to see each talented engineer earn their qualification.
We love nothing more than meeting engineers from around the world to assist them in improving their practical and theory knowledge in the marine HVAC/R sector and, as always, we’ll be looking forward to our next course date.

We’re so grateful for the lovely feedback from our April course:
“Very well organized and professionally conducted training, definitely worth recommending. Teacher knowledge and experience is just great.” – Marcin Serwach
“Cracking course taught by a master. Went above and beyond what I had expected. Stuart made the course very enjoyable. Will definitely be passing his details onto other engineers in the industry. Course notes are very well written and the test rig is perfect to work on.” – Josh Walters
“This is a very informative course, taught be a real technician whole knows how to explain and teach things to hands on engineers. The course certainly improved my knowledge and confidence, which will translate to being able to more effectively deal with my systems on board.I would strongly recommend this course to other engineers.” – David Shereda
“Enjoyed the course, correct amount of theory to practical. Instructor able to explain clearly.” – Alun Protheroe
“A great course, thank you!” – Ihor Kotov
What is the City & Guilds 2079 Qualification?
The City & Guilds 2079 qualification focuses on the major principles of F-Gas (fluorinated gas) and Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) in stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat pump systems. Learners who successfully complete this qualification are legally entitled to work on these systems within the UK, in line with the 2009 F-Gas and ODS Regulations.
Engineers who work outside the UK still gain huge amounts of knowledge that may not be readily available in their day to day roles as marine engineers, and we meet students from around the world during each course.
Our 5 Day Courses are scheduled throughout the year and each course has a limited number of seats to ensure we provide each student with a personal learning experience, so advance booking is always recommended.
Want to learn with us but can’t make any of the dates in our 2026 Course Schedule? No problem! Check out our online courses instead, from our entry-level Fundamentals of Marine Refrigeration course to our in-depth, all-areas-covered Refrigeration Masterclass. We’ve got you covered.
