Description
A huge congratulations to each of our students who successfully completed our January 2026 Marine & Offshore Refrigeration Course, gaining their City & Guilds Level 2 Awards in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category I.
Every attendee passed their exams first time, starting our 2026 course calendar off with a bang! We are so proud of their hard work and dedication shown to the training & it was a real pleasure to spend the week with a fantastic group of people.
We love nothing more than meeting engineers from around the world to assist them in improving their practical and theory knowledge in the marine HVAC/R sector and, as always, we'll be looking forward to our next two courses in March 2026.
Our 16th-20th March course will be held in our Palma, Spain training centre and we can't wait to celebrate another round of success stories! Then, the week after of 23rd-27th March, we have another course running in our Somerset, UK training centre. Both courses in March have limited seats remaining, so please book as early as possible to secure a spot.
To our students of January 2026 - CONGRATULATIONS! We wish you all the success in the future and hope to see you again.

We're so grateful for the lovely feedback from our January course:
"Friendly staff. Solid knowledge base and relevant industry experience to share. Good facilities." - Thomas More
"I have recently completed the f-gas course carried out by Tradewinds Engineering. The theory was very interactive which was a big plus compared to PowerPoint based theory. The practical was also well structured, giving plenty time to get familiar with the requirements before sitting the exam. I will be recommending this course to colleagues and other fellow engineers within the maritime sector." - Joshua Lake
"Everything was good. A well-informed course with a good instructor. Relaxed and informative." - David Bond
"Fantastic course, filled in any holes in my knowledge. Well recommended to anyone in the marine industry." - Chris Clarke
"The course notes were sent out before the course started. Gave me a good head start. Good communication. The course is very structured providing a good balance of practical and classroom based learning. There is a lot of experience shared not just related to the course but in real life situations." - Adam Hall
What is the City & Guilds 2079 Qualification?
The City & Guilds 2079 qualification focuses on the major principles of F-Gas (fluorinated gas) and Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) in stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat pump systems. Learners who successfully complete this qualification are legally entitled to work on these systems within the UK, in line with the 2009 F-Gas and ODS Regulations.
Engineers who work outside the UK still gain huge amounts of knowledge that may not be readily available in their day to day roles as marine engineers, and we meet students from around the world during each course.
Our MORC 5 Day Courses are scheduled throughout the year and alternate between our Palma, Spain training centre and our Somerset, UK training centre. Each course has a limited number of seats to ensure we provide each student with a personal learning experience, so advance booking is always recommended.
Want to learn with us but can't make any of the dates in our 2026 Course Schedule? No problem! Check out our online courses instead, from our entry-level Fundamentals of Marine Refrigeration course to our in-depth, all-areas-covered Refrigeration Masterclass. We've got you covered.
