Our Marine Refrigeration Course (City & Guilds 2079-11) covers the principles of refrigeration for the marine and offshore industry and is an in-house, 5 day course based at our Somerset, UK and Palma, Spain training centres.

We are a City & Guilds accredited training provider and our bespoke course content is put together using years of hands-on experience. Due to the in-depth nature of our course, our students have an extremely high first-time pass rate of over 95% and an overall pass rate of 100% since 2021.

To assist you with your learning experience, you will receive a study pack including our bespoke study guide and access to our mock questions booklet. You are given time to revise the theory material and tinker with our training rigs, with our experienced trainers on-hand to answer any questions.

Our classrooms are limited to small groups to allow each student the best possible chance of success, with a maximum of 8 students per course in Somerset and 6 students per course in Palma.

The first two days look at the theory of thermodynamics, the vapour compression cycle, energy efficiency and the repair process. The next two days are fully practical, and you will be trained on how to repair a system to industry standards. You will complete your theory exam on the final day.

If successful in both the practical and theory exam, you will earn your City & Guilds Level 2 Awards in F Gas and ODS Regulations: Category I. This includes a City & Guilds certificate in both digital and physical format.

Re-sits are available the same day for students who are unsuccessful on their first attempt.
